What I Expect From Clients

 

Clients provide an accurate health history and update when necessary.

 

All Policies and Procedures will be respected and abided.

 

Sexual Harassment is not tolerated.  Sessions will stop immediately if the therapist feels his safety is compromised, and refunds will not be granted.  CLICK HERE for more info on Refunds

 

Clients will not receive a session when either my, or other clients health may be put at risk.

 

Clients will provide all necessary and important Feedback and Communication to the therapist during a session.

Sessions begin and end at the agreed upon scheduled times.  Any session starting late due to client tardiness will end at the agreed upon pre-session scheduled time with no refund or discount.  Time may be added for additional fees at the therapist’s discretion.

Clients allot an extra 30 minutes for each session to fill out all forms, pay, and discuss their session needs.

Sales

  

Payment is due at the beginning of each session.  I accept CASH only unless sessions are bought in advance.  In this instance, and only in this instance, will Checks be accepted.  CLICK HERE for more info on Cash

 

Checks are accepted only as a form of Pre-Payment.    All checks must be cleared by the Bank, at the least, one day prior to the appointment date.  There is a $25.00 Charge on all returned checks.  No session will be granted if a check bounces until the fee is paid, and if the appointment is cancelled, the session will count as a cancelled appointment.  CLICK HERE for more info on Checks

 

If Checks are sent to me via snail mail, upon delivery of check to me, a verification of delivery will be made either by e-mail or phone.  Once the check is cleared bye the bank, then a verification of payment will be sent to the buyer.

Session Procedures

 

Make an appointment either by phone or e-mail.

 

Please allow an additional 30 Minutes for each session scheduled for set-up, intake, payment, and break-down.

A confirmation call will be made to you by me the day prior to your appointment.

 

At the Start of your session, intake forms need to be filled out completely and Lateness/Cancellation and Policy Forms need to be signed.

This will be followed by a brief discussion about your needs, your massage history, and my work.

Payment of Session (If not Pre-Paid).  If there are Verification Forms, they need to be signed for Bulk Sessions or in the Redemption of Free Sessions or Gift Certificates.

Once Payment is received In Full, the Gift Certificate, a Verification Form, and a receipt will be given or sent to you.

 

Confirm the Information on the Gift Certificate and Verification Form.

 

Give your Gift Certificate to a Friend, Relative, or Loved One.

 

Tell the Receiver NOT to lose the Certificate, it must be presented at the Session for which it is to be used.

At the Beginning of the Session, the Receiver will turn in their Gift Certificate and will be asked to sign a form confirming the redemption of the session.  A copy of this Form can be sent to the Purchaser if so requested.

Once Payment has been received IN Full, a receipt and a Verification Form Copy will be will be sent/given to the purchaser for your records.  For Single Sessions and Bulk Sessions, a Session Card will also be sent/given.

 

Confirm the Information on the Verification Form and/or Session Card.

 

The Session Card and Copy of Verification Form are for your records only, they do not need to be brought to each session.  If you choose, the session card can be punched at the start of each session, but this is your choice and for your record keeping only.

At the start of each of your sessions, the Original Verification Form kept in my files will need to be Signed and Dated.  This Verification form is the document that is used to keep track of your sessions.  If requested, a punch hole can be administered to your Session Card.

A Letter notifying you of your Free and/or Trade Sessions will be sent to you.

 

Make an appointment to receive your session.

 

At the start of your session a Free Session Redemption Verification Form will need to be signed and dated.  One copy goes to me, the other goes to you.  This form helps me to keep track of who has received their sessions and who has not.

Feed Back

 

Feedback and Communication during your session is important to meet your needs.  If you require less/more pressure, or are uncomfortable in any way, communication to the therapist is pertinent for me to address these concerns appropriately.  If communication to me is not granted during a session about dissatisfaction, refunds and/or discounts will not be granted.  CLICK HERE for more info on Refunds

 

I will ask approximately every 15-20 minutes during a session if everything is "OK."  It is your responsibility to answer honestly.  This is the time to voice satisfaction or dissatisfaction by any means of verbalization if it has not been voiced already.

 

During the session, if you have any questions about what I am doing, on what I am working, or why I am working a particular way, please feel free to ask, everything I do has a purpose and a reason, it is your right to know.

 

 

Lateness

 

All sessions are allotted an extra half hour for each appointment by the client and therapist.  Example:  A typical 90 Minute Session starting at 5pm will end around 7pm.  The extra Half Hour is added for set up, break down, client information intake, and a brief discussion about my work and of your needs.  So unless you or I are running really really really late, I should be able to give you your full 90 Minute Session, or at least most of it.  For Group, Chair, and Couples Sessions, only 1 Extra Half Hour is added to the entire time hired, NOT per person.

 

In the event of client lateness, the client is financially responsible for the full session based on the time booked for the appointment. 

 

New Appointments will not be granted until Fees are Paid in Full at the beginning of each session.

 

For OUTCalls I try my best as a therapist to allow plenty and sufficient time to travel to each client.  However, extenuating circumstances (traffic, parking, construction, accident) may prevent me from making an appointment on time.  I have allotted plenty of lee-way time to each appointment, however, in the event the therapist is late whereby a massage for the time requested by the client is not possible: refunds, discounts, and/or free massages will be granted on an individual basis depending on the specific infraction.  And remember, all sessions are allotted an extra half hour for each appointment by the client and therapist.  CLICK HERE for more info on This

 

 

Cancellations

 

Cancel by phone only, Cancellations by E-mail are not reliable.

 

I understand that a situation may arise where it becomes necessary for you to cancel an appointment.  In fairness to all of my clients I have arrived at the following policy in regards to cancellations.

 

24 Hours Advanced Notice Cancellation

No Charge

 

Less than 24 Hours Cancellation:

1st Cancellation

No Charge

Situations may arise where the therapist may have to cancel an appointment.  If the cancellation is under 24 Hours your next session is 50% off.

 

 

Refunds

 

It is imperative to let the therapist know if the massage is not going in the direction requested.  Please be specific at the beginning of the massage as to what type of massage will suit your needs.  I will, prior to your session, make sure there is an understanding of what work is going to be performed, describe the work involved, and discuss what I expect from you as a client in regards to feedback.  Please read about My Style and Training beforehand.

Generally, There are no Full-Refunds!  It is EXTREMELY RARE that a Full-Refund is ever granted. 

 

At most, a prorated refund may be granted depending on the situation.

 

If there is a valid reason to cease a session, the session will be prorated for the time already spent.

 

I will ask approximately every 15 minutes during a session if everything is "OK."  It is your responsibility to answer honestly.  This is the time to voice satisfaction or dissatisfaction by any means of verbalization if it has not been voiced already.  By answering with any form of satisfaction you are declaring that the massage is going in the correct direction and your needs are being met;  I will proceed with the massage.  If you answer any dissatisfaction, I will ask you questions and try to adapt my methods to suit your requests until you are satisfied.  If your requests can not be met and you decide to stop the session then a pro-rated refund will most likely be granted.  If you have answered with any understanding of satisfaction at all my check-ins, then decide to stop the massage claiming the massage is not what you wanted, a Refund will not be granted.  It is your responsibility to let me know when things are not going in the right direction when I ask "Is everything OK?" so that I may try to meet your needs if you so desire it.

If there is a lack of chemistry between the client and the therapist’s work, then the session needs to end immediately.  You are paying for my time, if you decide to stop a session, then depending on the circumstance; a pro-rated refund for the remaining time may or may not be granted.  However, this issue should come up within the first 15 minutes of the massage and any lack of chemistry should be noted immediately at my first check-in. 

 

If the therapist halts a session, in some instances a refund may be granted, in others it will not.  Sexual Harassment towards the therapist or inappropriate requests or actions made by the client are some examples of incidents where the therapist will halt a session and not grant a refund.  If the therapist decides to halt a session because the clients needs or requests could not be met, then a refund will most likely be granted unless the circumstances for the therapists inability were generated from misinformation.

 

 

What Clients Can Expect From Me

 

I provide my clients with professional and competent service for every appointment, addressing each client’s specific needs for that session.

 

I perform only those services for which I am qualified and those to which I advertise, when the work is not within my scope of practice and/or not within the client’s best interest, referrals to the appropriate specialists will be provided.

 

Privacy and confidentiality of the client are maintained at all times.

 

I allot plenty and sufficient time between clients to allot for any reasonable lateness or delay of a session. i.e. traffic, parking, construction, accident.  CLICK HERE for more info on Lateness

 

If I am delayed or running late a courtesy call will be made.

 

Either E-mail or phone, at the discretion of the client, confirms appointments the day  prior to scheduled sessions.

 

My equipment and supplies are clean and safe.

 

All Sessions are done on a Proper Massage Table unless the Modality does not require one.  CLICK HERE for Modality Descriptions

 

A variety of mediums are available at the client’s choice: 

Oil, Lotion, Cream, Gel

Unless otherwise requested, Crème will be used.

 

I keep accurate records and review all session charts prior to next session.

 

A receipt will be given at the beginning of each session after payment has been made.

 

Personal and professional boundaries are respected at all times.

 

Clients are draped at their discretion, however, genitals/breasts are never exposed or  massaged.  If no specific draping requests have been made, clients  will be draped with a sheet and towel, and only the part of the body worked on will be exposed at that time

 

 I return all inquiries within 24 hours unless I am out of town
