Lecture:  This class will define injury and pathology by using the stages of healing, the inflammation process, and the pain-spasm-pain cycle as a guideline.  Tendinitis, bursitis, sprains, strains and many other tissue dysfunctions will be explored and discussed from a massage therapy perspective.  Basic treatment strategies such as RICE, Trigger Point Therapy, and using SOAP notes will also be discussed and fascia and massage strokes will be explored from a physiological perspective.
